How do I calculate my CCT date?

Modified on Tue, 5 May at 11:09 AM

A CCT calculator has now been built into the TIS Self-Service system. Below is a guide to help you understand how to use this.

Please note that Dental trainees do not have access to this system and should contact their school team for help with their calculations.

How to access the CCT Calculator

  1. Open TiS Self Service (TSS).
  2. Go to Programmes.
  3. Find the relevant programme.
  4. Select Open CCT Calculator (you will see this button under each programme).

What the calculator is for
The CCT Calculator gives trainees a rough estimate of their CCT date if they are considering a change to their training pattern (for example LTFT or an Out Of Programme (OOP)).

You can use the calculator to:

  • Try different percentages (for example moving from 100% to 80% or 70%) to see how your estimated CCT date may change.
  • Use the estimate for planning: take the calculated date to your TPD to discuss your plans in more detail.
  • Save your result: once you have calculated an estimated CCT date, you can save the output as a PDF.

Important: the calculator provides an estimate only. Your confirmed CCT date will be agreed through the ARCP process.
