Modified on Thu, 16 Apr at 3:55 PM

This article explains how to recalculate your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) date when submitting an application that changes your working pattern, such as less than full‑time (LTFT) training. It also clarifies how your recalculated date is reviewed and confirmed.

Who this is for

Doctors in training who are applying for LTFT training or otherwise changing the number of sessions they work.

What you need to know

  • When you submit an application that changes your working pattern, you must provide a provisional recalculated CCT date as part of the application.
  • The CCT date you calculate at the application stage is indicative only.
  • Your final and confirmed CCT date is agreed by the ARCP panel and recorded following your
  • A CCT calculator is available in TIS Self Service to help you estimate your revised completion date.

Further information

  • The CCT calculator provides an estimate based on the information you enter, such as working percentage and start date of the change.
  • The calculated date can be used to support your application, but it does not replace ARCP panel approval.

What to do

  1. When completing your application, calculate a provisional CCT date based on the number of sessions you are requesting to work.
  2. Use the CCT calculator in TIS Self Service to get an indicative completion date.
  3. Include the recalculated date in your application, understanding that it will be reviewed.
  4. Await confirmation of your final CCT date at your ARCP, where the ARCP panel will formally agree the date.

If this doesn’t work

If you are unable to calculate a provisional CCT date or cannot access TIS Self Service, you should seek guidance before submitting your application.
