The duration of an NIHR Clinical Lectureship will be for a maximum of 4 years (WTE) or until CCT is reached, whichever is the sooner. During this time the trainee combines 50% clinical specialty training with 50% academic training.
A Clinical Lectureship award will also end if a trainee goes Out-Of-Programme (OOP). This is true for both NIHR and locally funded awards.
