What is an ARCP Review?

Modified on Thu, 22 Nov, 2018 at 3:30 PM

A review is a process where the panel who originally made a decision, return to it to reconsider whether it was appropriate.

The Review panel will focus solely on responding to the grounds raised, additional evidence supplied by the trainee, and the original evidence available at the original panel.

Trainees do not attend the review in person and the panel will usually be undertaken virtually. When reviewing virtually the panel will review all evidence individually and usually agree a decision by email or on a conference call.

The review panel have two possible outcomes:

  • Outcome originally awarded is upheld
  •  It is decided that the original outcome is not justified:  The original decision is overturned and replaced by a new ARCP Outcome
