What do I do if I need reasonable adjustments made to the recruitment process?

Modified on Mon, 9 Dec at 11:43 AM

Where possible, reasonable adjustments will be made for assessments and interviews to meet the needs of applicants with disabilities. You must ensure that you detail any adjustments required on your application form and upload medical evidence to support the adjustments requested.  Adjustments that make changes to set recruitment processes, such as additional time for an element, will require evidence that specifies the requirement.

If your medical evidence is more than 6 months old and you are not applying for reasonable adjustments on the basis of a long-term condition, you may be asked to provide further information.

Failure to provide the requested information and documentation, will likely result in adjustments not being met.

If you require reasonable adjustments to take up a training programme you should contact the region where you will be working after accepting an offer.

If feel that you are unable to complete all of the requirements of the specialty curriculum, you should make contact with the relevant Royal College or Faculty to discuss this, before submitting an application.

Recruitment teams will be unable to advise on adjustments to training programmes or curricula.
