If you are taking time off from the training programme for sickness and the sum of absences exceeds 14 days within a training specialty year then a review of training should be undertaken and a decision will be made as to whether the expected end of training date needs to be adjusted. This review would normally occur at ARCP. The only exception to extend a grade/CCT due to absence, and prior to an ARCP, is if HET receive a request from the AD following an Educator note.
For periods of prolonged sickness from work you may be required to have an Occupational Health assessment before returning to your training programme. Further guidance can be found on this web link
