Am I able to reapply to a training programme in the future?

Modified on Tue, 2 Dec at 2:35 PM

Trainees who resign or leave a training programme may be eligible to reapply in the future, subject to the following conditions:

  • Fitness to practise: There must be no outstanding fitness to practise concerns.

  • Dean’s support: Applications must have the support of the Postgraduate Dean.

  • Declaration: Applicants are required to declare at the point of application that they have previously held a training number.

  • Competitive process: Re‑entry into a training programme is not automatic and will be determined through the standard competitive recruitment process.

  • Guidance: Applicants should review the Specialty Training Applicant Guidance for full details on eligibility and application requirements.
