What is my performer number?

Modified on Tue, 2 Dec at 2:05 PM

Your performer number is the unique identifier assigned to you once you are accepted onto the NHS England National Performers List. As a Dental Foundation Trainee, you will be registered on this list before you can carry out NHS treatment and services.

Understanding your performer number:

  • Definition: A performer number is a unique reference linked to your registration on the National Performers List (Dental).

  • Purpose: It confirms that you are authorised to provide NHS dental services under contract.

  • Requirement: Since 1 April 2013, all dentists wishing to work under an NHS contract must be registered on the list.

  • Management: The process is managed through PCSE Online, where you apply, update, or maintain your record.
