Will I be required to engage in a return to work package when I come back from parental leave?

Modified on Tue, 2 Dec at 1:58 PM

All trainees are required to participate in their employer’s Return to Work package following any prolonged absence from work, including parental leave. This process is designed to support a safe and effective transition back into both clinical learning and clinical practice.

The package may include “Keep in Touch” arrangements or other tailored activities organised by the employer to ensure trainees regain confidence and competence in their role.

For further information and to arrange participation, trainees should contact their practice and their Training Programme Director (TPD) or Associate Dean (PAD).
