When will I receive my national training number (NTN)?

Modified on Wed, 17 May 2023 at 11:07 AM

Following appointment to a specialty training programme, a National Training Number (NTN) or Dean’s Reference Number (DRN) will be awarded. You may be asked to provide evidence of foundation or core competencies. You should receive your training number within four weeks of commencing the training programme.

For newly recruited trainees joining an NHS England London or  Kent Surrey & Sussex training programmes, the NTN will be issued in the near future.

The newly recruited trainees are likely to receive it when they start their training programme.
